In these dark times, we find ourselves longing for color. My palette, whether consciously or instinctively, reflects a deep desire for brighter days. Through this series, I construct a dreamlike, almost imagined world, where forms emerge, dissolve, or quietly hide within the composition.

Often, a white bird appears, sometimes clearly, sometimes concealed, joined at times by other living presences. Rendered in opaque white, these figures evoke purity and innocence, but also fragility, discretion, and the subtle act of existing without fully revealing.

The backgrounds unfold in layered tones of blue, yellow, green, and black, each carrying a resonance that feels especially profound in our present era. Blue embodies calmness and serenity, reminiscent of Lebanon’s skies when the northern winds pass through. Yellow speaks of happiness, hope, and sunlight. Green reflects nature and renewal, echoing the richness of valleys and mountains. And finally, touches of black remain… the inevitable presence of sadness that lingers, yet can also be embraced as a form of elegance.

In Biophony, presence is not always declared, it is sensed, discovered, or even missed. What is visible and what is hidden coexist, inviting the viewer into a quieter, more intimate encounter with the work.
