Gathering

Gathering explores connection, movement, and the subtle energy created when individual forms come together.

Against an expansive white ground, gestures of cerulean blue, green, and touches of yellow emerge and interact, suggesting a gathering of living forms without defining them completely. Moving between abstraction and suggestion, the work invites each viewer to find their own associations within the composition.

Inspired by the rhythms and interconnectedness found in nature and life, I wanted to create a sense of quiet vitality, where movement and stillness coexist. The white space is as important as the colour, allowing each form to breathe.

I chose acrylic and ink for their fluidity and immediacy, allowing colour and gesture to move freely across the surface. With Gathering, I hope to invite the viewer to pause, feel a sense of connection, and perhaps recognize something familiar within its abstract forms.
